Dr. Richard Allen obtained a BEng and PhD in Materials Science from the University of Birmingham. He has extensive experience in product and manufacturing process development in technical textiles gained in the filtration industry, and in the extrusion and design of synthetic staple fibre for a wide variety of applications.
Richard also has experience in applying six sigma methods to product and manufacturing process development with nonwoven materials. He has also developed and helped commercialise bio-polymer based nonwoven materials within the food and beverage industry.
