Tom studied Sports Materials Technology at the University of Leeds, obtaining an honours degree in 2007. Tom then gained industrial experience working as Project Manager at one of the largest steel distributors in Europe before returning to Leeds to study for a PhD with the Nonwovens Research Group.

Tom’s main area of interest is applications for high performance fibres.
