Tausif studied Textile Engineering with specialisation in Yarn Manufacturing at the National Textile University, Pakistan and worked in one of Pakistan’s leading spinning mills before undertaking a PhD with the Nonwovens Research Group, University of Leeds.

Tausif’s key areas of interest are fibre processing and the relationships between the structure and mechanical properties of nonwovens.
