Ioannis attained a Batchelor’s degree in Textile Engineering from the Department of Textiles in TEI of Piraeus in Greece. Consequently, he completed a Masters Degree in Advanced Textiles and Performance Clothing and a PhD at the University of Leeds. He is a specialist in textile chemistry and his research interests included the reactive dyeing of polyamide fibres, the development of athletic sportswear, and the chemical modification of natural dyes and their application to textiles.
