





NIRI is located in the Clothworkers’ Building Central (the former Wool Division Building) at the Centre for Technical Textiles, School of Design, University of Leeds.
Directions to NIRI
The Clothworkers’ Building Central is on University Road and is adjacent to Clothworkers’ Court. Enter the large black wooden gates and follow the white line on the ground which leads to the rear of the building where our offices are located.
Parking
Unfortunately there is no parking available outside our building. We suggest that visitors drive to the main University entrance where limited parking is available at a cost of £5 per day.
Deliveries
Delivery vehicles should enter by the University Road entrance. Please note that there is a height restriction of 3.35 m (11 feet) before the Clothworkers’ Building Central.
By car

By plane or train
We are located just 30 minutes from Leeds-
Leeds station is connected to all major cities in the UK. For timetable information please visit the National Rail web site. Leeds University campus is a short (free) bus ride or 20 minute walk from Leeds station.
By bus
There is a free bus service linking the University and other key city locations. This drops off at the southern end of the campus, so please allocate an extra ten minutes to your journey when visiting NIRI. More details are available here.
By foot (from Leeds train station)
Leeds University campus is around twenty minutes walk from Leeds city station. Exit the station into City square; with the Queens Hotel behind you, walk straight up Park Row. Continue up Park Row until the first major junction. Cross straight over The Headrow and continue up Cookridge Street. At the next set of lights go straight on passing Millennium Square on your left and Leeds City Museum on your right.
Turn left on to Woodhouse Lane, a busy main road. You'll pass Leeds Metropolitan University on your left and the University campus begins in another 50 metres or so, on your left, you will see the Parkinson Building clocktower ahead. NIRI is clearly signed on the campus maps situated around the campus.
